AI-Powered Supplier Risk

The AI-Powered Supplier Risk Indicator is now a standard feature within the Purchase Order and Direct Supplier Invoice screens in iX ERP.

This AI-powered capability provides a real-time, data-driven assessment of supplier delivery reliability, directly within the user’s workflow.

When opening a Purchase Order (PO) or Direct Supplier Invoice, a Supplier Risk badge is displayed.

This badge gives users an immediate visual assessment of risk based on AI analysis of historical supplier performance.

Risk Status Indicators #

BadgeStatusMeaning
🟢 GreenLow RiskSupplier consistently delivers within expected lead times
🟡 YellowModerate RiskSupplier shows occasional delivery variability
🔴 RedHigh RiskSupplier frequently delivers later than expected
⚪ GreyInsufficient DataNot enough historical data available for reliable assessment

How It Works #

The Supplier Risk badge is generated using AI-driven analysis of historical supplier lead time performance.

The system evaluates:

  • Historical delivery timelines
  • Variability in lead times
  • Delivery consistency patterns
  • Trends in supplier performance

Based on this analysis, the AI model categorises the supplier into a delivery risk level that reflects the likelihood of delay relative to expected lead times.

The model continuously improves as more transactional data becomes available.

Business Value #

The Supplier Risk Indicator enables proactive decision-making at the exact point where purchasing decisions are made, without running reports or exporting data.

Before placing or approving a PO, users can:

  • Identify suppliers with recurring late deliveries
  • Make informed decisions when delivery timing is critical
  • Engage high-risk suppliers earlier in the process
  • Adjust planning or production schedules proactively
  • Reduce unexpected delays in receiving and manufacturing
  • Improve overall supply chain reliability

All insights are embedded directly within the Purchase Order and Direct Supplier Invoice screens, supporting faster, smarter procurement decisions.
